The SHARPEN UP SUMMIT 2025 is open to all high school grades freshmen (2029), sophomores (2028), juniors (2027), seniors (2026) and college-aged dancers still looking for their dance team home. Note: At the time of registration in May, it will be any INCOMING Freshmen through Seniors who will be registering (this includes 8th graders who are graduating in May).
Parents and coaches of participating dancers are eligible for admission and for attendance at the Parent/Coach Recruitment classes. Parents and/or coach passes will be sold WITH dancer registration only.
Friends, teammates, and other non-affiliated persons may be eligible to attend based on space availability. If permitted, passes will be sold on the day of the event at the door. Please check back for more information.
Jam-packed with over 18+ hours of education & networking, all Summit participants will attend BOTH Saturday and Sunday. Saturday check-in could be as early as 8:00 am and event wrap-up is at 6:00 pm on Sunday. It is recommended that dancers arrive Friday evening and flights can be booked for later Sunday evening or Monday morning.
Saturday is the convention portion which includes material review and master class, no recruiters present. Saturday evening is reserved for Golden Hour participants and recruiters will be present.
Sunday will be all of the material showcases and recruiter meet and greets. Therefore, dancers may still attend the event if they need to arrive later on Saturday or Sunday morning. However, we do not offer one-day payment options.
Similar to a convention, dancers will experience over 18 hours of classes and networking:
We do not expect dancers to show up “ready” to be recruited and highly encourage our younger classes to attend simply to learn about the process. It is highly advised that dancers focus on proper nutrition, hydration, and rest during these couple of days. Our event mimics what is expected during an audition weekend.
Dancers will learn 3 short combos via video 2 weeks prior to the event and will review on day 1. Styles taught are pom, game day, hip hop, jazz & contemporary. In addition, 2 technique skills combos will be taught during the event. Dancers need to prepare beforehand four eight counts (4 × 8) of their best style & skills to execute to any upbeat music. No solos routines are required.
A 4 x 8 refers to a combination of choreography that lasts for four sets of 8 counts – a total of 32 counts, that goes to any upbeat music, usually a tempo between 130-150 bpm, and is intended to be performed one at a time.
The 4×8 can and should consist of a combination of any styles, techniques, and skills that showcase the dancers strengths when considering movement and performance quality.
Dancers will need to come to the Summit prepared with a pre-choreographed 4×8 and be ready to modify & adjust during the 4×8 workshop to enhance it to its full potential.
If any dancer needs additional help constructing their 4×8 prior to the Summit, we have an impressive list of CDL Mentors ready to assist! Please visit our College Dance Launch program page for more information:

I’m truly excited to do this work because it combines so much of what I love—coaching, mentoring, teaching, and helping others grow. I’m passionate about developing confident dancers, stronger teams, and thriving programs through transformational training, meaningful connection, and strategic guidance.
I feel incredibly honored by the opportunities I’ve been blessed to experience throughout my career and those I continue to be part of today. I’m grateful for the strength God gives me to keep dancing, educating, and inspiring the next generation of dancers, coaches, and leaders.
Julia Gerbino, a proud Colorado native, has built her life around movement, performance, and
mentorship. Growing up as a competitive gymnast and dancer, she developed a strong work
ethic and passion for athletics at an early age. She continued that journey as a member of the
Ralston Valley High School pom team and now gives back to the program as a Varsity
coach, currently in her sixth year leading and inspiring student-athletes to two State Championship titles and multiple UDA finals appearances.
In addition to coaching, Julia has years of event coordinating experience, where she helps create engaging and impactful experiences for dancers and teams.
She brings a well-rounded background in health and exercise science to her work and holds
certifications as a personal trainer and in mat Pilates, allowing her to support athletes in both
performance and overall wellness. When she’s not coaching or coordinating events, Julia enjoys staying active through CrossFit, diving into a good book, and spending quality time with her family.

Hannah Bohn is a lifelong resident of the state of Illinois. For over 30 years, she has trained in multiple styles of dance. Her career as a dancer includes instruction from programs such as the American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet.
In 2011, Hannah served as Miss Illinois for the Miss America Organization. At the Miss Illinois Pageant, she was a double preliminary winner in both talent and lifestyle/swimsuit and received the overall highest talent award. She represented Illinois in the 2012 Miss America Pageant and placed as a Top Ten Finalist, getting to perform her talent of Ballet en Pointe Live on ABC. During her year as Miss Illinois, Hannah traveled to over 100 high schools across the state, delivering professional presentations to student bodies on the dangers of distracted driving through a partnership with State Farm Insurance. For 8 years, Hannah served as the Head Choreographer with the Miss Illinois Production Team and has judged 8 states as both a panel and head state judge with MAO.
In Hannah’s professional career, she traveled as a Presenter on the National Auto Show Circuit and is currently an Emcee and Dance Judge for several touring dance competition companies. She currently works for Sharpen Up! Dance Team Training as the Client Relationship Manager & Sales Director. In her free time, Hannah enjoys traveling, seeing Broadway musicals, and cooking new recipes. She is excited to help this next generation of dancers put their best foot forward and VOICE forward!
I am truly excited to step into this role with Sharpen Up Dance Team Training because it allows me to combine my backgrounds in healthcare, education, dance and my personal experience as a parent of a dancer-athlete to build something that is both strategic and deeply human. CDL is doing this differently—intentionally, collaboratively, and with integrity—and I’m energized to help dancers and their families navigate this process with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy, orthopedic specialist, and dance- focused clinician who helps dancers move better, perform stronger, and stop feeling stuck in their bodies.
Growing up in dance, I experienced first hand how normalized pain, confusion, and “just push through it” really were. There wasn’t a space where dancers felt fully understood—where someone could speak both the language of movement and the science behind it. I watched dancers struggle, sit out, or try to figure things out on their own, and I knew there had to be a better way to support them.
As I moved into physical therapy, that gap became even more clear. The traditional model wasn’t built for dancers. It felt rushed, generalized, and disconnected from the actual demands of training. I didn’t want to be another provider handing out generic plans—I wanted to create a space where dancers felt seen, supported, and educated every step of the way. Rhythm and Recovery was built from that intention. A place where care is individualized, where understanding your body is just as important as strengthening it, and where dancers don’t have to choose between performance and longevity.
Now, as the brand continues to grow and expand into supporting women through pelvic floor care, the mission remains the same: to provide a level of care I wish existed when I was a dancer—one that removes barriers, builds trust, and helps you stay connected to the movement you love.
